Society of Illustrators The society of Illustrators or also called the Museum of Illustration is a museum located near Lexington Avenue just two train stops away from our school using the M and 6 train. When arriving there for the first time it didn't even look like a museum. Without the sign outside it would look like a regular building in New York. Entering the build was a whole different story as it had 4 different floors filled with different art and illustrations. The purpose of the Society of Illustrators is to promote the the art of illustration and its history through time to now in the present. The use of illustration was what being a graphic design was back then when there was such thing as digital art or tools.
