 "Non-Destructive Image Adjustments"

Black and white


    As shown in the picture itself black and white is what the name suggest. Black and White make the picture turn black and white.

Brightness/Contrast
Brightness/Contrast does two things in photoshop. Brightness increases or decrease depending on the brightness levels. While contrast determine the number of shades in the image. Both the brightness and the contrast go hand and hand with each other.

Channel Mixer
Channel Mixer is an adjustment layer that mixes or adds individual colors into the picture like Red, Blue and Green. As such within the picture the main color that are being shown are green in the floor and in the corners with pink being mainly in the middle.

Color Balance
Color balance changes the overall mixture of colors in an image and is used for color correction.  Color balancing adjustment layers allow to easily color highlights, shadows, and mid-tones individually.

                                    Curves
Curves is a adjustment layer that allows to change the levels of the images darkest and lightest points. In this case in the picture or image the level of lightness point was increased. This tool or adjustment layer can almost be related to other adjustment layers and there uses buts this layers allows for more control in shadows, highlights, and tones separately.
Exposure
One of the options for adjusting the exposure of your images in Photoshop is the Exposure Adjustment Layer. There are many other options like Curves and Levels that can be use to make exposure. Exposure allows to adjust the exposure of your photo. This means that if I move the  exposure slider to the right then the image will lightened and if I move it to the left then it will darken.


Gradient Map
The Gradient Map is a adjustment layer that allows you to map different colors to different tones in a photo. With the Gradient Map you can color image to black and white or to color. In this case the image was colored to cyan.

Gradient
The gradient tool is a blend of different colors and designs. In this case the color is black and its in a diamond style form.


Hue/Saturation
The Hue/Saturation layer is a adjustment layer that lets you adjust the hue, saturation, and lightness of a specific range of colors in an image. The hue is also known as the color or shade. The adjustment layer itself in the image made the picture or image more bright and striking making it more appealing to see.


Invert
The invert layer adjustment is an option that flips all the colors in the image. Some people would refer to it as a negative effect. The adjustment layer  can make an image more colorful or create a negative type of mood

Level
The level adjustment layer is a adjustment layer is a layer that adjust the Hue and the Saturation. The level adjustment layer corrects or can adjust  the tonal range and color balance of an image by adjusting intensity levels of image shadows, tones, and highlights.


Photo Filter
Photoshop filter is a adjustment layer that allows to create changes in layer contents. These effects can include sharpening or stylizing an image. The Photo Filter allows o can apply a high-pass filter or offsetting the image pixels.

Posturize
The Posturize adjustment layer reduces or limits the number of colors within the images or photos. With the limited photos it recreates the look of posters that were once limited in colors back then. The posturize adjustment layer can be use to make photos more graphic or make it look like its in a comic book style.

Solid Color
The Solid Color adjustment layer is just like filling a layer with a solid color but it has benefits as it automatically creates a layer mask that be edited, Although in this image the solid color is actually covering the image itself.


Threshold
 The Threshold adjustment layers are useful in determining the lightest and darkest areas of an image.


Vibrance
Vibrance in the adjustment layer increase the saturation of muted colors without overly saturating skin tones and already saturated colors. In this case the colors of the room itself and the floor appear to be more colorful and vibrant then in its original piece.
