Image Resolution by Juan Diaz

 Image Resolution

What is the difference between 300ppi and 72ppi?
The difference between 300ppi and 72ppi is that higher PPI creates higher quality because of its greater pixel density. While lower or smaller PPI allow for a smoother blend of color and shape.

Why is that important for the graphic designer doing print projects?
Its important for the graphic designer to know about image resolution because if you want a good print quality of something then  you need to have a high PPI. A high PPI allows for more dots or pixels to be printed which creates a higher resolution. If the PPI is low then it wont look as detailed or sharp.

Why is that important for the web designer doing websites?
Knowing the Image Resolution for Web designers is important because of the different types of screen resolution there. Since there is different size for phone screens, computer screens and other devices it can cause problems based on the number of pixels a screen contains horizontally and vertically. The display of the website depends on the screen resolution.
